Counsel with over forty years of legal experience, Mr Bélanger joined the Beaudry, Bertrand team in January 1998, as a partner.
Mr Bélanger’s diverse practice brought him to appear before all judicial and administrative bodies in Quebec.
EDUCATION
Holder of a bachelor’s degree in administration (specialized in accounting) obtained in 1976 from the University of Ottawa, Mr Bélanger subsequently obtained in 1979 a diploma in legal writing, and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec the following year. In 1989, Mr Bélanger earned a degree from the Arbitration Institute at McGill University.

His main fields of professional practice are in the following areas:
- Insurance law;
- Commercial insurance;
- Liability law;
- Product liability;
- Liability of directors and executives;
- Civil litigation;
- Professional liability;
- Sport liability;
Mr Bélanger also acts as an arbitrator in civil and commercial matters. During years 2002-2003, he rendered more than a hundred decisions as arbitrator in all arbitration files related to a class action.
